Assignment:Project Management of Debt Sale
Background: the client had almost a billion of old debt without a plan to dispose of it
Requirement: define framework for debt sale and oversee every step, from tender to segmentation and final sale
Solution: obtained approval to consider debt sale and was instrumental in developing the scope structure and invitation to tender framework. We segmented the portfolio and with analysis and third party data obtained agreement to sell £400 million. Rather than use a broker, the sale was managed internally and the final price was double the client's expected return
