The First Diploma in Consumer
Credit Risk Management is a great success
The Credit Academy ran the inaugural Diploma in Consumer Credit Risk Management intensive course in July. The week covered the five units: Credit Risk Management, Credit Analysis, Credit Scoring, Collections Scoring and Strategies and Portfolio Management. "What makes this diploma different is that it is purely focused on consumer credit. This means it is more technical and specific to meet the needs of the retail credit sector," said Murray Bailey the course leader. He added, "The industry needs qualifications and I aim to make this diploma the pre eminent one recognised by regulators such as the FSA." David Keen, Credit Manager at LLoyds TSB Bank had this to say about the first event: "Overall it was a very interesting course. It was very intensive and hard work, but it was also enjoyable!" The candidates received additional reading material and will sit five case studies to complete the course. The next intensive course is 8-12 October in Bristol. Places are limited so candidates are requested to book early to avoid disappointment. Details of the diploma can be found on www.windsorcme.co.uk/academy/diploma/
